Health analytics startup Ginger.io raises $20M
Ginger.io, a startup whose technology collects behavioral data from patients’ smartphones to provide their healthcare providers with insights, appears to have raised a fresh $20 million in new funding according to a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company previously raised$6.5 million in funding in 2012.

Mobile fingerprint sensor company Vkansee grabs $7M
Vkansee, a maker of fingerprint sensors for mobile devices, announced it has raised $7 million in new funding. Aviation Industry Corporation of China led the round. The company will use the money to produce an initial 1,000 units ahead of its U.S. rollout in 2015.

Chinese fashion startup Yetang raises $5M
Dubbed by Tech in Asia as a “marketplace for post-90’s hipsters,” DCM Ventures-backed Yetang today announced a $5 million round to staff up. The one-year-old company previously raised a sub-$1 million seed round from IDG Capital Partners.

Client management app Front Desk closes $4M round
Hot on the heels of a $2.8 million SEC filing, Front Desk, maker of a client management service for small businesses, announced last night that it has closed a $4 million round (counting that $2.8 million). The round brings Front Desk’s total funding to $11.2 million to date. Previous investors Floodgate, Version One Ventures, and Second Avenue Partners participated in the Seattle-based company’s round, in addition to others.
